氯气的主要作用是杀菌，这点恐怕大家都清楚，建筑里有洗矿机会需要消耗氯气。

很多人觉得氯气没用，是因为穿太空服不怕绿菌，厕所出口洗手不怕黄菌，矿石扔箱子里一段时间自己就无菌了

但其实氯气灭菌速度最快的，尤其针对食物中毒，把食物扔在氯气室的地上一会就没有黄色的了，相反如果放在二氧化碳里面要好几天才彻底消失。

因此玩家可以使用氯气填充食物储藏区保险加快速灭菌。

除了主要用来杀菌，氯气还有以下作用：

1、喂尖啸变异的阿噗生产硝石，硝石可以拿来做洗手液。

2、种植百合需要纯氯气环境。

3、用来保证气压。

4、液化来浇灌瓦斯草，气牛吃瓦斯草产天然气。
